Driver Account Deletion Policy
Driver Account Deletion Policy Effective Date: 29-04-2026
EV Smart Captain provides drivers with the ability to request deletion of their driver account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal, financial, operational, and regulatory requirements.
How to Delete Your Driver Account
Step 1
Open the EV Smart Captain app.

Step 2
Tap on Profile.

Step 3
Open Account Settings.

Step 4
Tap Delete Account.

Step 5
Review the account deletion information displayed on screen.

Step 6
Confirm your deletion request.

Step 7
Complete identity verification if requested.

Once approved, your account will be deactivated and access to EV Smart Captain services will be revoked.
Alternative Deletion Method
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by contacting support.

Drivers may be required to provide:
- Registered mobile number
- Driver identification details
- Verification information necessary to confirm account ownership
What Happens After Account Deletion
Upon successful verification and approval:
- Driver access to the EV Smart Captain platform will be revoked.
- Driver account status will be deactivated.
- Personal information will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.
- Access to earnings dashboards, trip records, and platform services will be removed.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Data Deleted
The following information may be deleted or anonymized:
- Driver name
- Phone number
- Email address (if provided)
- Profile photograph/selfie
- Driver profile information
- Saved preferences and settings
- Non-essential account information
Data Retained
Certain information may be retained for a limited period where required for:
- Legal compliance
- Tax and accounting obligations
- Fraud prevention
- Safety investigations
- Insurance claims
- Regulatory requirements
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement of platform policies
Retained information may include:
- Driving License details
- Aadhaar information
- PAN information
- Driver verification records
- Earnings and payout records
- Settlement records
- Ride and parcel delivery history
- Payment transaction records
- GPS and trip-related location records
- Device and operational logs
- Safety and incident reports
Certain records may be retained for up to 180 days or longer where required by applicable law, regulatory obligations, audits, investigations, or dispute resolution processes.
After the applicable retention period, retained information will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.
Account Deletion Restrictions
Deletion requests may be delayed, restricted, or denied if:
- Active rides are in progress
- Active parcel deliveries are in progress
- Pending settlements exist
- Outstanding dues remain unpaid
- Wallet reconciliation is pending
- Incentive or bonus payouts are pending
- Fraud prevention reviews are ongoing
- Safety investigations are ongoing
- Legal disputes or complaints are pending
- Regulatory inquiries require record retention
EV Smart reserves the right to retain limited information where reasonably necessary for security, legal, compliance, financial, and operational purposes.
Driver Re-Registration
Drivers whose accounts have been deleted may apply to register again on the EV Smart Captain platform.
Re-registration is subject to:
- Successful verification
- Submission of valid documents
- Compliance with platform policies
- Approval by EV Smart
EV Smart reserves the right to approve or reject re-registration requests.
Driver Account Deletion Policy
1. Right to Request Deletion
Drivers may request deletion of their account at any time, subject to applicable legal, operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
2. Verification Process
EV Smart may verify the identity of the requesting driver before processing deletion requests to protect platform security and prevent unauthorized actions.
3. Third-Party Services
Certain information may be processed by third-party providers including payment processors, banking partners, identity verification providers, communication providers, and cloud service providers. Such providers may retain information in accordance with their own legal and compliance obligations.
4. Privacy and Security
EV Smart implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information during the deletion process.
5. Policy Updates
EV Smart may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions may be published through the app, website, or official communication channels.
Continued use of EV Smart services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
