Account Deletion

At EV Smart, we respect your privacy and provide users with control over their personal information. This page explains how you can delete your account, what happens after deletion, what information is removed, what information may be retained, and the policies governing account deletion.


How to Delete Your Account

Users may request account deletion directly through the EV Smart app.

Step 1: Open More Section

Open the app and tap on the "More" option from the bottom menu.

Step 2: Go to Profile

Tap on "Profile" to open your account details.

Step 3: Edit Profile

Click on "Edit Profile".

Step 4: Delete Account

Scroll down and tap on "Delete Account".

Step 5: Confirm Deletion

Confirm the deletion request in the popup dialog.

Once confirmed, your account deletion request will be submitted for processing.


Alternative Deletion Method

If you are unable to access the EV Smart app, you may request account deletion by contacting support.

You may be required to provide:

  • Registered mobile number
  • Account-related details
  • Verification information where necessary

Verification Process

Before processing deletion requests, EV Smart may verify the identity of the requesting user in order to:

  • Prevent unauthorized deletion
  • Protect account security
  • Prevent fraud or misuse

Failure to complete verification may delay or prevent processing of the request.


What Happens After Account Deletion

Upon successful verification and approval:

  • Your account will be deactivated.
  • Access to EV Smart services will be revoked.
  • Personal information will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.
  • You will no longer be able to access the deleted account.

Deletion requests are generally processed within a reasonable operational timeframe.


Data That Will Be Deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, the following information may be deleted or anonymized:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Saved preferences
  • Profile-related information
  • Non-essential account data

Users may lose access to:

  • Ride history
  • Parcel booking history
  • EV charging history
  • Saved addresses
  • Account settings
  • Service-related records linked to the deleted account

Data That May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained for a limited period where required for:

  • Legal compliance
  • Taxation and accounting obligations
  • Fraud prevention
  • Safety investigations
  • Dispute resolution
  • Enforcement of platform policies
  • Regulatory requirements

Retained information may include:

  • Payment records
  • Transaction history
  • Ride booking records
  • Parcel delivery records
  • EV charging session records
  • Trip-related location logs
  • Operational and security logs

Certain retained records may be stored for up to180 days or longer where required by applicable law, court orders, regulatory obligations, investigations, audits, or dispute resolution processes.

After the applicable retention period, retained information will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.


Restrictions on Account Deletion

Account deletion requests may be delayed, restricted, or denied if:

  • Active rides are in progress
  • Active parcel deliveries are in progress
  • Active charging sessions are in progress
  • Outstanding payments or dues exist
  • Active disputes are pending
  • Ongoing investigations exist
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is under review
  • Legal or regulatory requirements require temporary retention

EV Smart reserves the right to retain limited information where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, compliance, and operational purposes.


Account Re-Registration

Users whose accounts have been deleted may register again and create a new EV Smart account.

New registrations are subject to compliance with EV Smart's terms, policies, and verification requirements applicable at the time of registration.


Third-Party Services

Certain information processed through third-party service providers, including:

  • Payment processors
  • Communication service providers
  • EV charging station operators
  • Cloud service providers

may remain subject to their respective privacy policies, retention practices, and legal obligations.


Privacy & Security

EV Smart implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to securely process account deletion requests and protect user information during the deletion process.


Policy Updates

We may update this Account Deletion & Deletion Policy from time to time.

Updated versions may be published through:

  • EV Smart mobile applications
  • Official website
  • Official communication channels

Continued use of EV Smart services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
